The SDSU Chamber Choir performs 6-8 concerts annually and is the premier choral ensemble on campus. Performing literature from a vast spectrum of languages, styles, and time periods, this ensemble frequently commissions new works and hosts celebrated guest artists, clinicians, and conductors from around the world. Chamber Choir alumni are currently teaching throughout the state, singing with professional and semi-professional companies in the region including the San Diego Opera, Bach Collegium San Diego, San Diego Master Chorale, and Sacra/Profana, and are also enrolled in some of the nation’s most prestigious graduate programs in choral conducting and vocal performance. The ensemble has toured both nationally and internationally, and has performed at regional conferences curated by CMEA, and ACDA.
