RACHEL EUNHEE PARK
Rachel Eunhee Park is a cellist and music educator based in San Diego, California; also a native of South Korea. Ms. Park has been performing with the San Diego City Ballet Orchestra as principal cellist since 2016 and has been invited as cello principal in the Coronado Philharmonic Orchestra since July 2020. She was granted a scholarship to attend San Diego State University (SDSU) where she studied under Professor Yao Zhao, the principal cellist of the San Diego Symphony, and earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in cello performance. Ms. Park has been selected to play in masterclasses conducted by esteemed cellists including Lynn Harrell, one of the finest and most prominent American classical musicians and winner of two Grammy Awards; as well as renowned chamber groups such as the Formosa Quartet. Over the years, Ms. Park has played in prestigious concert halls including the Jacobs Music Center’s Copley Symphony Hall, and has performed as a member of numerous orchestral ensembles both in the United States and Korea. Ms. Park has also performed extensively in the Southern California area and outreach concerts. Ms. Park has built a reputable private studio in the San Diego area as a member of MTAC and Suzuki Association of the Americas.
